Iceland Offbeat is a fully independent travel company, registered and operating in Iceland. This presence allows us to work directly with trusted partners nationwide and ensures you receive direct support during your journey. Our home office is in the remote Westfjords region, perfectly positioned to know Iceland beyond the tourist trail.
We focus on balance in every aspect — mixing active exploration with relaxation, popular sites with hidden gems, and driving with discovery. Each itinerary is personalised to your specific interests rather than following a template. We prioritise depth over volume, ensuring you have time to truly connect with each place. And throughout your travels, you have Icelandic support just a phone call away.
During the booking process, we customise each day based on your arrival and departure times, chosen activities, preferred pace, and seasonal daylight. We balance driving, sightseeing, and activities — typically planning no more than 3-4 hours of driving per day with scenic stops and activities in between.
We're registered with the Icelandic Tourism Board since 1st January 2012 and certified by Travelife for sustainable practices within the tourism industry. We also follow the guidelines of the Icelandic Traveller Code for sustainability and Vakinn, the official quality and environmental certification for Icelandic tourism.
