Below is a 7 day / 6 night sample itinerary to give you a general idea of our Glaciers, Volcanoes & National Parks trip starting from Keflavik:

Day 1 – Arrival & South Coast Waterfalls

Arrival in Iceland. Pick up your rental car and drive along the South Coast to visit the wonderful waterfall duo of Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss.

Day 2 - Black sand beaches & cliffs

Explore the wonders of the South Coast - black sand beaches, stone portals and basalt cliffs. Marvel at the many outlet glaciers on the way and catch a glimpse of the infamous Eyjafjallajokull volcano.

Day 3 - Vatnajokull glacier

A day exploring the Vatnajokull area where you visit the Skaftafell National Park, surreal glacier lagoons with floating icebergs and the diamond beach.

Day 4 - South Coast secrets

Drive back to the Golden Circle area stopping to visit several lesser-known gems of the South. Stop for a glacier hike along the way.

Day 5 - Golden Circle

A day around the popular Golden Circle! Visit the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall, the Strokkur geyser and the Thingvellir rift valley between the tectonic plates of Europe and America

Day 6 - Snaefellsjokull National Park

Drive around the Snaefellsjokull glacier volcano stopping to visit black sand beaches with fascinating rock formations, lava fields and the Kirkjufell mountain and waterfall.

Day 7 - West Iceland & Departure

Visit the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls and Europe's most powerful spring, Deildartunguhver. Take a hike to the Glymur waterfall or learn more about the Icelandic sagas at the Settlement Centre.

Drive back to Reykjavik for your departure.

For self-drive, the car rental is as per your preference and the season; in the off-season, we only provide a 4X4.
For private tours, we offer a variety of comfortable vehicles for different group sizes with a local guide.

We can also include tours and activities of your choice, self-guided walks and hikes, and restaurant recommendations. Typically this requires adding extra time to the trip.

Additional information for your Iceland trip will be sent to you after the booking. This will include details about weather and clothing, currencies and payments, electricity system, food and water, safety, contact info, and other useful tips.

The minimum driver age for is 20 years for smaller cars and 25 years for jeeps. Drivers must bring an international driving licence or a local driving licence written in a Roman script. Winter driving experience is strongly recommended for off-season travel.
